Discover a unique and affordable way to cater your next event with Haven's Harvest! Our Casual Catering service offers delicious, high-quality food at a modest price, thanks to our innovative use of recovered food. While we don't cater events directly, we provide a diverse selection of food types (examples are snacks, prepared foods, baked goods, etc.) that you can easily pick up and enjoy. We can't guarantee specific items, but we CAN guarantee delicious items.

  • We appreciate your support. We ask for donations for requests–– to cover our costs of picking up the food, curating and storing it, and (in rare instances) delivering it.

    While Haven’s Harvest has a low overhead, there is a cost to our work. When someone reaches out requesting catering for an event, the recipient may already receive food from Haven’s Harvest at other times without being asked for money. However, when we are engaging in this sort of casual catering, we have suggested donations to help cover logistics.

    This program helps us sustain our organization and keep our great work going.

    Below is a reference chart based on the anticipated number of guests you plan to have at your event or exhibit! Donations can be made HERE.

  • Enhance your catering experience with these convenient add-ons:

    • Chafing Dish Rental: $10 donation per dish for one-day use.

    • Warmer Fuel (Sterno): $2 donation per can (2–3 hours of burn time).

    • ServSafe Certified Event Food Manager: *$30-$60 per hour to oversee reheating, food setup, service, and breakdown.

    • Cutlery: *$10-$20 donation.

    • To-Go Containers: $5 per sleeve (sustainable materials).

  • At Haven's Harvest, ensuring the safety and quality of recovered food is our top priority. Proper storage, reheating, and handling of leftovers are essential to maintain safety.

    All food donations come from kitchens that are inspected and certified by registered sanitarians from local health departments. Additionally, all donations are tracked in real-time during transport to ensure they remain safe and within proper temperature ranges.

Casual Catering Request Form

The below form will help us understand the needs of your event and how we can best serve you. Because we are a food rescue organization, what we can offer depends on what we receive; we cannot guarantee a specific menu like a traditional caterer, but we’ll do our best.

Once you submit this form, we will follow-up within a couple days to discuss what food we expect to have available that may meet your needs.

    • Why are you charging for food now–you get the food for “free,” can’t you just hand it over?

      • We must make it clear that we are not charging for the food! Haven’s Harvest has a low overhead, but there is a cost to our work. We are asking for small donations to help cover logistics and “keep the lights on” at Haven’s Harvest!

    • How far in advance must I request food?

      • Please ask as early as possible. If you provide less than 7 days’ notice, please consider an additional $10 donation as late requests require us to scramble.

    • Can you guarantee a certain food? 

      • No, we cannot make guarantees at time of request. Once we determine what we can provide, we’ll communicate that with you.

    • Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?

      • We will do our best, but may not be able to meet them due to the inherent food-rescuing nature of our organization.

    • Do you provide delivery?

      • In rare instances, we may be able to offer delivery. If you’d like us to deliver, we would appreciate a small additional donation for delivery!

    • When is food picked up/delivered?

      • Between 9am and 4pm. We can discuss a time that works best for you.
