No Waste. Full Plates. 2030
A Haven’s Harvest Initiative
Our vision for Connecticut, grounded in a simple and achievable truth: our state has enough good food to feed everyone. Yet too much of it is discarded each day—not because it lacks value, but because the systems needed to move it efficiently and safely are underbuilt. This campaign is about ensuring that good food feeds people —not landfills or incinerators.
In 2025, we saw what’s possible across Connecticut when logistics meet commitment. With the right logistics—including cold storage, transportation, and strong partnerships— surplus food can be redirected safely and reliably to communities that need it. Food recovery continued to grow statewide, demonstrating that food waste is not inevitable; it is a solvable challenge when the right infrastructure is in place.
Looking toward 2030, this campaign invites Connecticut’s communities, institutions, and policymakers to invest in solutions that already work. By strengthening local recovery organizations and building statewide capacity, we can reduce waste, support food access, and ensure that no good food is wasted—and every plate in Connecticut can be full.
